I’m working on a series of images for a new product line about Exploring My Work. For this one, I was thinking about those times when you are looking out over a horizon of possibilities. There are some hints of what might be ahead, but you can’t really discern those glimmers. Will they be opportunities? New exciting things in your life? Or are they monsters waiting to teach you more life lessons?
As I’ve been contemplating this idea, I’ve been thinking about how what I see gets affected by what I am bringing in the moment. Am I remembering all the times my risks brought disappointment or the times I found joy? Depends on context and how my day is going. I’m also noticing how much more physical the painful memories are for me. Joy is more subtle, warm, but not searing like some of the pain can be.
