Citra-Solv recently ran a Spring into Art contest. I was honored to be one of the winners, in a field of really beautiful entries.
This was created by scanning in pages from National Geographic magazine that had been dissolved with Citrasolv. The flowers and magpie were digitally painted in Photoshop. Lots of layers are merged together with the altered pages on the computer.
I enjoy working between traditional art media on paper and the computer. It would be really difficult to get the random patterns created with the citrasolv on the screen using digital tools. Here I’m able to use the tool that is best at each section of the image, by going back and forth. Digital to analog. Online to offline.
